The grid California is building is mostly batteries. The grid we operate already includes them — and the next decade of our pipeline is dominated by standalone storage and PV-plus-storage hybrids.

We approach storage projects the same way we approach gas: through development, permitting, EPC oversight, and lifecycle O&M under one roof. No handoff between developer and operator. No surprises in year three.

What we develop.

  • Standalone BESS, 20 – 100 MW / 4-hour
  • Co-located solar + storage on Wellhead-controlled sites
  • Distribution-connected storage for resource adequacy
  • Hybrid retrofits to existing peaker sites

Why co-location.

Shared interconnection. Shared land. Shared O&M staff. A solar-plus-storage facility on a Wellhead site costs less to build, less to operate, and clears permitting faster than two separate projects on two separate parcels.

"Storage is the hardest asset on the grid to permit well and the easiest to permit badly. Forty years of permitting practice matters."
